Debbie Chang is a Product Analyst at Quia Corporation, where she helps design industry-leading educational web software for families and schools. She spent her high school years in Taiwan, and graduated from Harvard University with degrees in biology and health policy. Over the past decade, she has dedicated hundreds of hours to various school and community programs, with a particular focus on under-served and ESL populations. Currently, she volunteers through Hands On Bay Area, and the YMCA Building Futures mentoring program. Debbie joined the board in 2010 to contribute to the enrichment and development of children, families, and communities; she has served on the Special Events Committee since 2009.

 

Ki Lau is a retired Senior IS Business Analyst for the City and County of San Francisco, for whom he has worked for almost 30 years. He also has extensive experience as a community services worker – teaching English-speaking skills to immigrants and preparing immigrants for citizenship examinations – and as a live-in healthcare provider. Ki joined the board in 2008 and serves on the Special Events Committee.

 

 


Rebecca Lubens
is an attorney at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP. As a Linguistics/Psychology major she developed an interest in first and second language acquisition, and worked at the Harvard Family Research Project (an interdisciplinary research institute that focuses on early childhood education and development), and spent several years volunteering in a Boston Head Start classroom as part of an AmeriCorp program. Rebecca joined the board in 2009 because of her interests and desire to connect more deeply to the San Francisco community.

 

 

 

Roy Ng is Vice President of Business Operations at SuccessFactors, a leading web software company providing solutions that improve business alignment, team execution and people performance that drive results for over 3,000 customers and over 8 million users worldwide. Prior to joining SuccessFactors, Roy was Vice President and Head of West Coast Software Investment Banking at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He advised SuccessFactors as well as many other leading companies in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. Over his decade long career in investment banking, he completed more than $23 billion of financing and M&A transactions. Prior to joining Goldman, he was an Executive Fellow at the Office of the State of Treasurer of California. He was also involved with Junior Achievement, and currently a Board Advisor to Life360, a consumer technology startup focused on providing family safety and security solutions. Roy joined the Wu Yee board in 2008, and currently serves as Treasurer. His experience as in immigrant has compelled him to be a part of Wu Yee’s mission to assist low-income families, many of whom are recent immigrants.

Bill Shen is a Vice President at Encore Consumer Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity fund.  He previously led Corporate Development for Nest Collective, was a Principal at a boutique investment bank, and was Senior Manager in the Private Equity Practice of Kurt Salmon Associates.  Bill is also an Assistant Marathon and Triathlon Coach for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program.  He has been active in the Stanford University community, currently serving as Chair of the Stanford Associates Board of Governors and as a former member of the Stanford Alumni Association Board of Directors.  Bill served on the board for four and a half years previously, re-joined the board in 2007, and currently serves as President. Bill considers it an honor and privilege to be part of the Wu Yee family, and sees his service as a long-term investment in the city of San Francisco.

Suki Toguchi is a Technology and Security Risk Services Manager at Ernst & Young LLP. She has a diverse background in participating and volunteering in social service and social justice organizations, including One Brick and Rotary International Foundation. Suki joined the board in 2009. She is passionate about serving the Asian immigrant community.

 

 

 

 

 

Neill Tseng is an Assistant United States Attorney at the United States Attorney’s Office. He has also taught as a visiting assistant professor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, worked at a law firm in Hawaii and for two federal judges. Neill has always had an interest in children’s services, and has been involved as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children in Massachusetts, interned at the Child Care Law Center, volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hononulu and Special Olympics Hawaii, and in various other community activities with children, including the Junior Judges program for the Hawaii State Bar Association. He joined the board in 2009 and serves on the Special Events Committee. He would like to use his skills and experience on Wu Yee’s board to help advance children and family support services on a more macro level, and get more involved in the San Francisco community.
