Resource and Referral

Wu Yee’s Resource and Referral (R&R) program provides free services for families in San Francisco in the following areas:

• Counseling families on different child care options on the phone or in person with referrals and information about the elements of quality care and state licensing requirements;
• Referring families to child care providers that best meet their needs;
• Counseling parents with child care related information such as choosing care that is the best fit;
• Assisting in the completion and submission of the San Francisco Child Care Connection (SF3C) application.
• Recruiting new child care providers to our database to ensure a wide selection of quality child care is available to our families;
• Providing workshops on parenting, health and safety, child development, child care best practice, choosing quality care and more;
• Providing parent resource packets and child care related tip sheets;
• Assisting families with referrals to relevant services agencies in the community;
• Outreaching to different Community Based Organizations (CBO) and citywide corporations to promote R&R services to their clients;
• Coordinating parent advocacy efforts on child care issues.
