Week of the Young Child 2015

The Week of the Young Child is a time to recognize that we all have a responsibility to enhance opportunities for children. This year's WOYC will be celebrated from April 12-18, but there will be workshops, playdates and events for San Francisco families throughout the entire month of April!

Join Wu Yee, Children's Council, San Francisco Public Library, Homeless Prenatal Program, San Francisco Child Care Planning and Advisory Council, and more - as we celebrate and advocate for quality early childhood education.

Join us:

  • April 12: Week of the Young Child Kickoff at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, 10am - 2 pm
  • April 17: Walk Around the Block, City Hall, 10 am - 11 am

Check out the events that Wu Yee will be participating in, or just download the entire calendar!

USC Alumni Day of Service at Kirkwood

Saturday, March 14 was the 2015 USC Day of SCervice, and members of the USC Asian Pacific Alumni Association joined Wu Yee staff, families, and students for a day of beautification at our Kirkwood Child Development Center in the Hunters Point neighborhood of San Francisco.

No matter how big or small, everyone worked together to pull weeds, plant flowers, rake trails, and make Kirkwood cleaner and greener.

The improvements to our gardens means that our children will now have a beautiful outdoor space to plant vegetables, care for flowers, and develop skills in exploration, observation, experimentation and conservation.

Thank you to everyone who helped out!
