San Francisco, CA (April 10, 2014) - Students from Wu Yee Children's Services joined several other schools for at a "walk around the block" to celebrate the Week of the Young Child and remind everyone in San Francisco about the importance of Early Childhood Education.
The 4th Annual Walk Around the Block took place at 10 am on Thursday, April 10 2014, and it was a great opportunity to raise awareness about that impact that Early Childhood Education (ECE) has on children and families, and to ask our city to reinvest in child care.
Students from Wu Yee’s Golden Gate Preschool at 177 Golden Gate Avenue in the Tenderloin took a walk down to San Francisco’s City Hall to join students, teachers, parents and community members who wanted to say “Yes” to retaining, restoring, and raising investments in child care.
Students from Wu Yee’s Lok Yuen Preschool, Generations Preschool and Little Sprouts Infant Center walked “around the block” in Chinatown, and students at Wu Yee's New Generation Preschool participated in Visitacion Valley.
