City-funded child care payment assistance
Wu Yee's Child Care Subsidies Department helps eligible San Francisco families pay for child care for children ages 0-3 years old. Wu Yee provides child care payment assistance, or subsidies, directly to Q-Circle licensed child care providers through San Francisco City Child Care Program.
We also offer personal consultations for parents and guardians who would like more information on the different types of child care and payments.
Wu Yee's Resource and Referral Program can also help you find out if you're eligible for other kinds of child care payment assistance or subsidies, including CalWORKs, California State Preschools, San Francisco Preschool for All (PFA), and Head Start.
How to qualify for Wu Yee's City Child Care subsidies:
To qualify for child care subsidies through Wu Yee, a family’s income must meet California’s Child Development Department guidelines and parents must be working, engaged in work training or unable to work.
SF3C: The first step in finding payment assistance for child care.
The SF3C is a web-based system that helps families apply for different child care subsidies with only one application. The SF3C includes participating infant-toddler, preschool and after-school programs, and serves families with children ages 0 to 13 years.
Families interested in accessing child care subsidies through Wu Yee should first enroll in the SFC3 waitlist.
Wu Yee will contact parents on the SF3C waiting list when child care slots open. We will schedule an appointment with you to determine eligibility and need.
